This evening, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn lauded ASEAN-UK Partnership in health, science and technology at Locarno Suite of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office. Dr Kao welcomed the proposed ASEAN-UK Global Health Security Partnership programme which will improve capacity for the prevention, detection and response to health threats in ASEAN. Dr Kao also commended the establishment of ASEAN-UK Dialogue on Science, Technology and Innovation and the announcement of the new International Science Partnership Fund that will support ASEAN-UK STI initiatives.
