Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this evening met with H.E. Liew Chin Tong, Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia to discuss early preparations for Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025 as well as the ongoing development of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045. Dr Kao highlighted that 2025 will be a critical year in the ASEAN Community building journey and reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s readiness to support Malaysia and to ensure the success of its ASEAN Chairmanship next year.
