Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with H.E. Gan Kim Yong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Trade and Industry of Singapore, on the margins of the 56th AEM Meeting and Related Meetings in Vientiane, Lao PDR. They discussed the ongoing Upgrade of the ASEAN Trade in Goods Agreement (ATIGA) as well as the upgrade of the ASEAN-Korea Free Trade Area (AKFTA), in which Singapore serves as the Chair, and the strategic measures to prepare ASEAN for a transformative future under the Post-2025 Strategic Plan.
