Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan, H.E. Kamikawa Yoko, in Tokyo, Japan today. Both sides exchanged views on ASEAN-Japan relations and explored ways to further advance the ASEAN-Japan Comprehensive Strategic Partnership that is substantive, meaningful and mutually beneficial. They agreed to work closely together to promote the ASEAN-Japan cooperation in line with the Vision Statement on ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation Trusted Partners and its Implementation Plan adopted at the ASEAN-Japan Commemorative Summit on the 50th Year of ASEAN-Japan Friendship and Cooperation in Tokyo, Japan, in December last year.
