Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn met with Minister for Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship of India Dharmendra Pradhan today. They discussed ASEAN-India cooperation in education and people-to-people exchanges, including the ongoing scholarship programmes for ASEAN Member States to pursue studies at Nalanda University as well as research, capacity building, and faculty exchanges between ASEAN Member States and India. Both sides also explored the possibility of establishing a dedicated ASEAN-India Scholarship programme to expand the existing scholarship initiatives and potential collaboration in implementing the Declaration on Digital Transformation of Education Systems in ASEAN, particularly on digital skills and literacy development.
