Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr Kao Kim Hourn, had a meeting with Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia, Senator the Honourable Penny Wong, in Canberra today. Both sides exchanged views on ASEAN-Australia relations, and ways to further strengthen the ASEAN-Australia Comprehensive Strategic Partnership, particularly following the momentum of the successful convening of the ASEAN-Australia Special Summit to commemorate the 50th Anniversary of ASEAN-Australia Dialogue Relations held in Melbourne this year.
