Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Finland, H.E. Elina Valtonen, on the sidelines of the 47th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits, held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Both sides exchanged views on strengthening cooperation between ASEAN and Finland in areas of mutual interest, and welcomed Finland’s signing of the Instrument of Accession to the Treaty of Amity and Cooperation in Southeast Asia (TAC) as a positive step towards enhancing cooperation with ASEAN.
