Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Japan, H.E. Sakamoto Tetsushi. During the meeting, both sides emphasised the significant importance of advancing sustainable agriculture to enhance the livelihoods of millions of farmers in the region. They also discussed the implementation of the ASEAN-Japan Midori Cooperation Plan, focusing on addressing challenges related to climate change, biodiversity loss, soil degradation, and desertification.
