Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with The Honourable Senator Tengku Datuk Seri Utama Zafrul Tengku Abdul Aziz, Minister of Investment, Trade and Industry of Malaysia, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, to discuss preparations for Malaysia’s upcoming ASEAN Chairmanship. The meeting’s discussions focused on the Priority Economic Deliverables (PEDs) under Malaysia’s ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025. The development of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) Strategic Plan 2026-2030, was also discussed as 2025 is a tipping point to further strengthen the region’s economic integration.
