Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with H.E. YAMAMOTO Sachiko, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries of Japan, in Tokyo, Japan. They discussed the priorities of the food, agriculture, and forestry sector, particularly on the advancement of the ASEAN-Midori Cooperation Plan. Dr. Kao reaffirmed that promoting sustainable and regenerative agriculture will be a key priority for the ASEAN region and expressed optimism about the successful cooperation between ASEAN and Japan in achieving this vital goal, which contributes significantly to the economic partnership between ASEAN and Japan.
