Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today received a courtesy call from a delegation of the Philippine Foreign Service Institute (FSI), led by its Director-General Neil Frank R. Ferrer, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. SG Dr. Kao highlighted the important role of research institutes in contributing strategic insights, fostering policy dialogue, and supporting ASEAN’s Community-building efforts. SG Dr. Kao underscored the valuable contributions of institutions such as FSI in promoting greater understanding of ASEAN’s long-term aspirations and supporting the implementation of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future towards a resilient, innovative, dynamic, and people-centred ASEAN, through research, knowledge exchange, and forward-looking ideas.
