Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn today met with Special Envoy of the ASEAN Chair on Myanmar Alounkeo Kittikhoun at the sidelines of the ASEAN Foreign Ministers’ Retreat in Luang Prabang, Lao PDR. Dr. Kao reiterated the ASEAN Secretariat’s full support to the Lao PDR as the ASEAN Chair for 2024 to effectively implement the Five-Point Consensus, agreed by the ASEAN Leaders in April 2021, in order to address the situation in Myanmar. Both sides also discussed the provision of ASEAN’s Humanitarian Assistance to Myanmar as part of the implementation of Point 4 of the Five-Point Consensus
