Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with the ASEAN Committee in Santiago (ACS) comprising of Ambassadors and/or chargé d’affaires of Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, Thailand, and Viet Nam. SG Dr. Kao updated the Committee on key developments in ASEAN as well as progress of ASEAN-Chile relations and its future direction. He expressed his appreciation to the ACS for their important role in raising ASEAN’s profile and awareness in Chile, as well as in expanding ASEAN-Chile cooperation in a wide range of potential areas of mutual interest that would bring about utmost benefits to the peoples of the two regions.
