Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, had a bilateral meeting with the European Commissioner for Climate Action, Wopke Hoekstra, at the sidelines of the 3^rd EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum and the 24^th ASEAN-EU Ministerial Meeting in Brussels today. Both sides recognised the importance and the need for closer cooperation between ASEAN and the EU in the area of climate change. They also discussed ways to deepen collaboration in the area of climate change, through various cooperation projects for the benefit of the two regions.
