Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the Executive Director of the ASEAN Centre for Energy (ACE), Dato Abdul Razib Dawood, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat to reinforce coordination between the two institutions. During the meeting, both sides exchanged views on ACE’s contributions to advancing ASEAN’s regional energy cooperation, including its technical support for the development of the ASEAN Plan of Action for Energy Cooperation (APAEC). SG Dr. Kao reaffirmed ASEC’s commitment to strengthening its function as part of ACE’s Governing Council and ensuring ACE’s alignment with ASEAN priorities, particularly in promoting energy security and sustainability under the ASEAN Economic Community Strategic Plan 2026-2030.
