Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the Minister of Defence of Malaysia, Dato’ Seri Mohamed Khaled bin Nordin, on the sidelines of the 37th Annual International Military Law and Operations (MILOPS) Conference, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
Dr. Kao commended Malaysia on its successful ASEAN Chairmanship in 2025, which contributed to advancing ASEAN defence cooperation. Both sides also discussed the way forward for the ASEAN defence sector in supporting the implementation of ASEAN 2045: Our Shared Future.
