To start off his working visit to Thailand, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, this morning met with Minister of Justice of the Kingdom of Thailand H.E. Police Colonel Tawee Sodsong. Minister Sodsong was accompanied by representatives from the National Security Council, the Southern Border Provinces Administration Centre and the Internal Security Operations Command Region 4. Their discussions focused on Thailand’s proactive role in the ASEAN law enforcement and justice sector under the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC), the ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Drug Matters (AMMD) and the ASEAN Law Ministers’ Meeting (ALAWMM). The meeting underscored Thailand’s commitment to a safer and more resilient ASEAN region through sustained cooperation and coordinated action.
