Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with the Minister of Science and ICT of Republic of ROK, H.E. Mr. Lee Jong Ho. Both sides underscored the importance of advancing digital transformation to address the challenges encountered by the ASEAN Member States (AMS). They also discussed the ASEAN-ROK Digital Innovation Flagship (KADIF) Project to bolster the cooperation and collaboration in the digital sector between ASEAN and ROK. Both sides exchanged views on the possibility for ROK’s assistance on the capacity-building programmes to support the negotiation and implementation of the ASEAN DEFA. They also looked forward to strengthen ongoing collaborations between ASEAN-ROK, under the ASEAN Digital Senior Officials’ Meeting (ADGSOM) and the ASEAN Committee on Science, Technology and Innovation (COSTI).
