On the margins of the 19th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Transnational Crime (AMMTC) and Its Related Meetings in Melaka, Malaysia, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with H.E. Francisco da Costa Guterres, Minister of the Interior of Timor-Leste. During the Meeting, both sides discussed Timor-Leste’s role in contributing to regional efforts and supporting the work of the AMMTC and its subsidiary mechanism. Dr. Kao reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s readiness to support Timor-Leste in its accession as the 11th Member State of ASEAN.
