Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn met with Minister of Tourism and Sports of Thailand Sudawan Wangsuphakijkosol this evening, at the sidelines of the 27^th Meeting of the ASEAN Tourism Ministers (M-ATM) and Related Meetings in Vientiane, Lao PDR. Both sides welcomed the successful outcomes of the 27^th M-ATM which concluded earlier today, and underscored the importance of strengthening competitiveness and advancing human resources in ensuring the sustainability and resiliency of ASEAN Tourism, amongst others. They also exchanged views on opportunities to promote new ASEAN travel routes and corridors, and conversed on the viability of promoting visa-free travel for non-ASEAN travellers to move freely within ASEAN.
