Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today met with the Permanent Representative of Malaysia to ASEAN, H.E. Amb. Sarah Al Bakri Devadason. Dr. Kao reaffirmed the ASEAN Secretariat’s full support for Malaysia’s Chairmanship of ASEAN in 2025, particularly for the work of the Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR). He expressed confidence that under the stewardship of Malaysia, the region will advance towards greater inclusivity and sustainability. The meeting also discussed preparations for Dr. Kao’s working visit to Malaysia to support the incoming ASEAN Chair in the later part of this year.
