To foster closer ties between ASEAN and the U.S., Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, met with U.S. Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs, Elizabeth M. Allen, on 12 June 2024. The high-level discussions centered on advancing ASEAN-U.S. cooperation in critical areas that bridge cultures and empower future generations. The meeting underscored the shared commitment of ASEAN and the U.S. in fostering mutual understanding, celebrating rich cultural heritages, and empowering young leaders to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the partnership.
