This morning, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn officiated the Handover Ceremony of the ASEAN Artists Residency Programme (AARP), where the latest resident artist, Srun Rida of Cambodia, presented his artwork at the ASEAN Gallery. In his remarks, Dr Kao praised the one-month residency in Jakarta, where the young Cambodian artist was able to interact with the local art communities and given the opportunity to speak during a workshop hosted by the National Gallery of Indonesia. Dr Kao also expressed his appreciation to the Thai Beverage Public Company Limited for their support to ASEAN, particularly in bolstering arts and culture through outreach programmes such as the AARP.
