Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today joined the Ministers responsible for the environment from ASEAN Member States and Timor-Leste in the 18th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Environment (AMME) in Langkawi, Malaysia. In his remarks, Dr. Kao highlighted the importance of strengthening ASEAN cooperation on emerging and cross-cutting environmental and climate issues, underscored the role of ASEAN Centres in delivering concrete results on the ground, and called for stronger partnerships and resource mobilisation to advance ASEAN’s long-term vision of a sustainable, resilient, and inclusive Community.
