Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today joined the Defence Ministers of ASEAN Member States, at the 19th ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting (ADMM), in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, chaired by Malaysia under the theme “ASEAN Unity for Security and Prosperity.”
The 19th ADMM adopted the Joint Statement by the ASEAN Defence Ministers on the Implementation of the ASEAN Political-Security Community (APSC) Strategic Plan of the ASEAN Community Vision 2025 and the Kuala Lumpur Joint Declaration of the ADMM on ASEAN Unity for Security and Prosperity. The Ministers also adopted various Concept Papers for new ADMM initiatives and activities.
