Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 22nd AEM-EU Trade Commissioner Consultation in Manila, the Philippines.
Discussions focused on bolstering ASEAN-EU economic ties and advancing regional integration, with a strong emphasis on digital trade, the green transition, and supply chain resilience. The Meeting took note of the progress made in the finalisation of the ASEAN-EU Digital Trade Principles and reaffirmed their importance in guiding new priorities in digital cooperation between ASEAN and EU. The Meeting also explored strategies to deepen sectoral cooperation through the ASEAN-EU Trade and Investment Work Programme.
