Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 4th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) Plus Republic of Korea (ROK) in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Co-chaired by H.E. Kitte Sangahak Bandith Kun Kim, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions, First Vice President of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chair of ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) 2025, and H.E. Cheon-Soo Park, Director General of the Disaster Management Policy Bureau, Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Korea, the Meeting discussed ways and means to enhance ASEAN-ROK cooperation in disaster management, including deliberating on the implementation progress of the ASEAN–ROK Work Plan on Disaster Management 2021–2025 and preparations for the development of the ASEAN–ROK Work Plan on Disaster Management 2026–2030, in line with the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030.
