Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today participated in the 5th ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) Plus China, in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Co-chaired by H.E. Kitte Sangahak Bandith Kun Kim, Senior Minister in Charge of Special Missions, First Vice President of the National Committee for Disaster Management (NCDM) of the Kingdom of Cambodia and Chair of ASEAN Ministerial Meeting on Disaster Management (AMMDM) 2025, and H.E Wang Daoxi, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Emergency Management of the People’s Republic of China, the Meeting discussed ways and means to enhance ASEAN-China cooperation in disaster management, including deliberating on the implementation progress of the ASEAN–China Work Plan on Disaster Management 2021–2025, and preparations for the development of the ASEAN–China Work Plan on Disaster Management 2026–2030, in line with the AADMER Work Programme 2026-2030.
