Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn paid a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Lao PDR Sonexay Siphandone, in Vientiane today. The Secretary-General expressed ASEAN Secretariat’s readiness to assist Lao PDR in achieving its goals and objectives as ASEAN Chair in 2024 as envisioned inits Chairmanship theme of “Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience”.
Dr Kao also reaffirmed the secretariat’s support to ASEAN Chair as the region transitions beyond post-pandemic recovery and moves toward the ASEAN Community Vision 2045.
