Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today warmly welcomed H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya, incoming ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA) Secretary General, at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat in Jakarta. Dr. Kao congratulated Dr. Chem Widhya on his appointment and looked forward to deepening the ASEAN–AIPA collaboration, particularly in supporting the implementation of the ASEAN Community Vision 2045, as well as in advancing inclusive and people-centred regional cooperation.  H.E. Dr. Chem Widhya will start his term as AIPA Secretary General, in January 2026, for a period of 3 years.
