Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, today received a courtesy call from representatives of the Veterans Confederation of ASEAN Countries (VECONAC) at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. Dr. Kao acknowledged VECONAC’s important role as an accredited ASEAN Entity under Annex II of ASEAN Charter and commended its active involvement in ASEAN activities. He encouraged the organisation to further strengthen its collaboration with the ASEAN Secretariat in the years ahead through active participation in ASEAN activities and platforms.  The meeting reaffirmed VECONAC’s contributions to promoting peace, stability, and solidarity in the region.
