This evening in Busan, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn was conferred an Honorary Doctorate in Political Science by the Busan University of Foreign Studies. At the conferment ceremony, Dr Kao shared that he would use his knowledge, skills and experience to further promote ASEAN-ROK relations, underpinned by the trust, friendship, understanding and partnership between the peoples of ASEAN and ROK. Following the ceremony, Dr Kao had a dinner meeting with Korean academics in Busan, in which they discussed ways to promote cooperation between ASEAN and ROK, particularly in the areas of education, vocational training, research and people-to-people exchanges.
