At the invitation of Minister of Social and Family Development of Singapore Masagos Zulkifli, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat delegation to attend the 13th ASEAN Ministers Meeting on Rural Development and Poverty Eradication (AMRDPE) and Related Meetings on 21-22 November in Singapore.
Themed “Strengthening Community-Based Approaches and Social Protection for Poverty Alleviation,” the 13th AMRDPE will exchange views, best practices and lessons learned on rural development and poverty eradication from the region, especially when ASEAN attaches great importance in empowering communities and narrowing the rural-urban development gap.
