At the invitation of Zheng Shanjie, Chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) of the People’s Republic of China, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn will lead the ASEAN Secretariat’s delegation in the Third Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation in Beijing on 17-18 October. Dr Kao will deliver remarks at the “High-Level Forum on Connectivity of the 3rd Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation.”

On the sidelines of the forum, Dr Kao is scheduled to meet with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic China Wang Yi to deepen cooperation between ASEAN and China as well as with Chinese enterprises to explore ways and means to promote trade and investment in the region.
