At the invitation of Minister Attached to the Prime Minister and Standing Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the Kingdom of Cambodia Ouch Borith, Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr Kao Kim Hourn, accompanied by a team of ASEAN Secretariat staff, will observe the general election to be held on Sunday, 23 July. Dr Kao and the team will observe key events in the electoral process, including the opening of polling stations and ballot-counting process. 

During the visit, Dr Kao, along with other observers, is also scheduled to pay a courtesy call on Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia Samdech Techo Hun Sen.
