At the invitation of H.E. Dato’ Sri Tiong King Sing, Minister of Tourism, Arts and Culture of Malaysia and Chair of ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Council Meeting 2025, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the ASEAN Secretariat’s delegation to participate in the World Tourism Day, the World Tourism Conference, and the ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Retreat 2025, to be held in Melaka, Malaysia, on 27–29 September 2025.
During his visit, Dr. Kao will participate in the World Tourism Day, deliver a Special Address at the World Tourism Conference, and participate in the ASEAN Tourism Ministers’ Retreat 2025.
While in Melaka, Dr. Kao is also scheduled to hold bilateral meetings with Ministers and representatives from ASEAN Member States and that of external partners of ASEAN, seeking innovative ways to increase tourism cooperation within the region and beyond.
