At the invitation of H.E. Prasert Jantararuangtong, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Digital Economy and Society of the Kingdom of Thailand, Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will lead the ASEAN Secretariat’s delegation to participate in the 5th ASEAN Digital Ministers’ Meeting (ADGMIN) and related events hosted by the Kingdom of Thailand as the ADGMIN Chair for 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand, on 16-17 January 2025.
The 5th ADGMIN and Related Meeting will discuss the way forward to advance vision to build ASEAN as digital community and economic bloc, empowered by secure and transformative digital services, technologies and ecosystem as highlighted in the ASEAN Digital Masterplan 2025. SG Dr. Kao is also scheduled to engage in bilateral meetings with Ministers and high-level representatives from the ASEAN Member States, Dialogue Partners of ASEAN as well as from the private sector.
