At the invitation of the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Lao PDR, H.E. Saleumxay Kommasith, the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, will conduct a Working Visit to Lao PDR, on 28-30 November 2023, in preparation for its ASEAN Chairmanship in 2024.

Dr. Kao will lead the ASEAN Secretariat team from the Three Pillars of ASEAN Community and hold bilateral meetings with Prime Minister Sonexay Siphandone, as well as other key cabinet ministers responsible for the ASEAN political-security, economic, and socio-cultural community pillars, to discuss ways to provide full support and ensure the success of Lao PDR’s upcoming ASEAN Chairmanship guided by the theme “Enhancing Connectivity and Resilience.”
