Senior Officials Conference on Gender Mainstreaming in the ASEAN Socio-Cultural Community (ASCC) Sectoral Bodies

Women are crucial to the development of ASEAN.  Recognizing the needs to incorporate gender perspectives across ASEAN communities and sectoral bodies, , more than 100 representatives from fifteen sectoral bodies came together at the ASEAN Senior Officials Conference on Gender Mainstreaming for the ASEAN Socio-Culture Community, organized by the ASEAN Committee on Women (ACW, Philippines) on 27-29 June 2018 in Manila, the Philippines to assess and discuss ways forward to mainstream gender in their policies, programmes and activities for an inclusive ASEAN.
