The ASEAN Member States extend their condolences to the Government of the People’s Republic of China, and to the families of the victims of the terrorist attack at the railway station on 1 March 2014, in Kunming, the People’s Republic of China.
ASEAN strongly condemns terrorism in all its forms and manifestations.
ASEAN renews its commitment to work with China to further intensify its cooperation to combat all forms of terrorism.
ASEAN supports the efforts of the Government of the People’s Republic of China to bring the perpetrators to justice.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
