The Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for Political-Security Community (DSG APSC) met with the Honourable Andrew Leung Kwan-yuen, President of the Legislative Council of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (SAR), on 24 April 2025. Both sides discussed strengthening economic relations, expanding trade and investment opportunities, legislative developments, technological advancements, and regional cooperation. The dialogue highlighted Hong Kong SAR’s pivotal role as a trading, transport and financial hub, its steadfast commitment to free and open trade, and ongoing efforts to deepen engagement with ASEAN and other international partners.
Following the meeting, the CPR and DSG APSC also met with representatives from the Commerce and Economic Development Bureau, Invest Hong Kong, Trade and Industry Department and Hong Kong Trade Development Council.
