On 21 June 2024, the 49th ASEAN Audit Committee Meeting was held at ASEAN Hall of the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat to discuss matters related to audit, risk and governance of The ASEAN Secretariat. H. E. Viengthavisone Thephachanh, the President of the State Audit Organization (SAO) of Lao PDR delivered the Opening Remark and the Meeting was chaired by the Association Prof. PhD Phosy Chanhming, the Director General of Audit Research and Training Institution of SAO Lao PDR. The ASEAN Member States and Committee Permanent Representatives Working Group (CPR-WG) of ASEAN, the representative of the Democratic Republic of Timor-Leste as an observer attended the meeting together with the Deputy Secretary General of ASEAN for Community and Corporate Affairs H.E. Nararya Sanggramawijaya Soeprapto as Chair of the ASEAN Secretariat Risk Management Committee and Chief Internal Auditor of the ASEAN Secretariat, Dr. Sasikala Sankaran.
