A Trilateral Meeting involving the ASEAN Chair, the Philippines, Türkiye, and the ASEAN Secretariat was convened in Manila today. The Meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary for Policy and Philippine ASEAN SOM Leader, Leo M. Herrera-Lim, and attended by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye, Berris Ekinci, and Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz.

The Meeting reaffirmed its commitment to further strengthening the ASEAN–Türkiye partnership following the conferment of Dialogue Partner status on Türkiye, and exchanged views on opportunities to deepen cooperation and chart the future direction of ASEAN–Türkiye relations.
