Co-Chaired by Lao PDR and Malaysia, the 16th Meeting of the HLTF-ACV continues with a Plenary session today, 3 August 2024 in Melaka, Malaysia.
On behalf of the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dato’ Astanah Abdul Aziz, Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, attends the Plenary Session. Having completed the second reading of the draft APSC Strategic Plan, the HLTF-ACV discussed the way forward. The HLTF-ACV also exchanged views and updates on the progress of work with the Chairs of the High-Level Task Force on ASEAN Economic Integration (HLTF-EI), ASEAN Connectivity Coordinating Committee (ACCC) and Co-Chairs of Ad Hoc Working Group on the Development of ASCC Post-2025 Strategic Plan.
In line with undertaking a comprehensive, participatory and inclusive approach, the HLTF-ACV continues to engage stakeholders. At its 16th Meeting, the HLTF-ACV had an interface with ASEAN Mayors Forum and the Institute of Strategic and International Studies (ISIS) Malaysia.
