The ASEAN Senior Officials’ Meeting (SOM) was held today in Port Dickson, Malaysia, to deliberate on Malaysia’s Chairmanship priorities in the lead-up to the 47^th ASEAN Summit and Related Summits in October 2025. Discussions focused on advancing Community-building efforts and strengthening ASEAN’s external relations. The Meeting was attended by ASEAN SOM Leaders and the Deputy Secretary-General of ASEAN for ASEAN Political-Security Community, with Timor-Leste participating as Observer.
