Senior Officials of ASEAN Member States and China met for the 25th ASEAN-China SOM-DOC on 30 January 2026 in Cebu, the Philippines. The Meeting reviewed progress in implementing the Declaration on the Conduct of Parties in the South China Sea (DOC) and discussed ways to advance negotiations toward the conclusion of the Code of Conduct in the South China Sea (COC). This Meeting marked the first of several SOM-DOC meetings scheduled for the year.
