H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN, today received H.E. Thongsavan Phomvihane, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Lao People’s Democratic Republic (PDR), at the ASEAN Headquarters/ASEAN Secretariat. Upon his arrival, H.E. Thongsavan Phomvihane was received by Secretary-General of ASEAN Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Deputy Secretaries-General of ASEAN and the Committee of Permanent Representatives (CPRs). During the visit, H.E. Thongsavan Phomvihane presented a finely crafted rosewood carving of Laos’ Iconic Landmarks to the ASEAN Secretariat, which will be housed in the ASEAN Gallery. H.E. Thongsavan Phomvihane also held an interface with Dr. Kao and the CPRs to discuss ASEAN priorities, regional and international developments, and ongoing Community-building efforts.
