The Ambassador of Finland to ASEAN, Kai Sauer, presented his Letter of Credentials today to the Secretary-General of ASEAN, Dr Surin Pitsuwan. At the simple ceremony held at the ASEAN Secretariat, Ambassador Sauer expressed Finland’s keen interest in cooperating with ASEAN, including in mediation support.
Dr Surin, welcoming the Ambassador, said he looked forward to working more closely with Finland. He also conveyed ASEAN’s appreciation for the support by the European Union, of which Finland is a member country.
