ENTRY RULES
INTRODUCTION
The ASEAN Environment Year (AEY) celebrations are held once every three years to showcase ASEAN’s achievements in, and commitments to environmental protection, and to promote public awareness of environmental issues in general. The year long event will consist of regional and national activities related to environmental protection and sustainable development.
The Royal Kingdom of Cambodia will host the ASEAN Environment Year 2003. The event will kick off with a regional launch in Seam Reap, Cambodia on 3rd March, 2003.

Participants
The Painting Competition is open to nationals of ASEAN Member Countries. The competition will be held for two age categories (as of 15 January 2003) as follows:
1. Category 1 (Secondary and High School Level): Age 13-18 years old
2. Category 2 (Adults): Age 19 years old and above
Entry Rules
1. The painting should depict the efforts of ASEAN member countries in promoting environmental protection and sustainable development.
2. The painting should carry a short title describing the essence of the painting.
3. All entries must be on A3 (11.7 x 16.5 inches) size paper .
4. Paintings should be in color using any kind of coloring medium (for example water color, color pencils, etc.).
5. Entries previously awarded prizes in other contests are not eligible.
6. Participants should submit the duly filled Entry Form attached herewith along with the painting by 15 February, 2003 to:

7. Judging will be made by a panel convened by the Ministry of Environment, Cambodia. The decision of the panel of judges is final and no appeals will be entertained.
8. All entries shall remain the property of the Government of Cambodia, and may be used for any purposes deemed appropriate.
