The Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) condemns the heinous bombing of the subway in St. Petersburg, Russia on 3 April 2017 which claimed several lives and injured many others.
ASEAN joins Russia and the international community in condemning this senseless act of terror, and extends its deep sympathies and condolences to the Government and people of the Russian Federation, especially to the families of the victims of the deadly attack.

The Association of Southeast Asian Nations, or ASEAN, was established on 8 August 1967 in Bangkok, Thailand, with the signing of the ASEAN Declaration (Bangkok Declaration) by the Founding Fathers of ASEAN: Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore and Thailand.
